Sean's new school

We were having trouble with Sean's behavior at Tavan so we withdrew him. We were able to get him enrolled at Griffith in the Balsz District. To my surprise (not really) Sean has not been suspended once and is doing a lot better, Thank You Ms. Koebler his new Kindergarten teacher. She knows what it takes to handle difficult kids. He is not perfect but he is doing better under her teaching. He is making me proud and it shows that it just take understanding to work with my child and not suspending him for being a child.

Another trip up North

After many years of not being able to go anywhere my small family, my mother-in-law, father-in-law and my nephew Andrew went to visit a family fiend up in Ashfork, AZ. We stayed 3 days walked through Williams, AZ and visited the Deer Farm. I shot a jack rabbit, saw elk, deer, cantaloupe in the wild and watched a grown man walk around drunk and with piss all over him. On the way home we stopped in Camp Verde and visited Montezuma's castle. Here are some of the pictures that were taken.

My jack rabbit and I, yes I used my Ruger 10/22 bullpup.

The friend of the families house

Us at the Deer Farm feeding and petting the animals including reindeer not just the fallow deer.
Andrew kept having the same Fallow deer follow him everywhere trying to get his cups of feed.
Sean was afraid to hand feed them.

here we are at Montezuma's Castle

Truck Fire In Dreamy Draw Park

On Sunday my wife Jamie, my son Sean and I went to Bookman's to sell somethings so we can get new things. On the way home going east on Northern ave. I saw black smoke and decided to go see what it was. It turned out to be a small size pickup truck in an arroyo inside the Dreamy Draw Park completely up in flames. The Phoenix Fire Department (station 17) took about 20 minutes to respond, luckily the flames did not spread to any plants. I decided to record the fire and the Phoenix Fire Department with my Droid 2 Global phone.

2010 Arizona Renaissance Festival

After a few years of not being able to go to the Renaissance festival my wife, her family and I went. We stopped at one of many show that went on during that day. It was a fire whip show I was a little disappointed that the fire whip was only used for like three minutes or so. It was funny none the less and the man that preformed in the show is Adam Winrich a world champion whip cracker. He hold 7 or 8 Guinness world records for whip cracking. I videoed taped the show and due to youtubes limit on video times here are the videos.

I took Pictures as I went but they were of nothing important so all I have is the Fire whip show.

My nephew Daniels R/C A10 crash

Here is a short clip of my nephew Daniel's flying his A10 R/C airplane on a windy day. Lets just say Daniel and my brother Robert who also flew his R/C airplane today crashed his (I don't think this plan was well thought out.... Master) were second guessing themselves on if they should fly them today. I did not get Robert's crash on camera sorry. To see the full video I took of Daniel's flight you can view it here.

Sean's 3rd Birthday Party

This year we decided to have Sean's birthday at McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park. There you can ride two types of trains, see several train layouts in various gauges and the children can play on or at different playgrounds. We road the larger train a couple of times and the smaller one once. Here are some pictures of the trains and of Sean on the train.

Sean jumped into a train train train I want trains. So we have been helping or making it worst by buying him trains mainly Thomas The Tank Engine. We got him a Thomas cake and more Thomas stuff.

When it was time for singing happy birthday Sean was not going to have it. For some reason he cries when everyone sings happy birthday, but he does not cry every time just when a group sings it. Here is a picture of him before we sing and during.

We had a good turn out for family showing up one sister of course thinks she is better than us and would not show up no matter what. My sister Barbara came, but spent most of her time taking pictures of my nephew Daniel and smothering him like she was his mother. Other than that it was a great birthday party and everyone enjoyed it.

My mother was not able to make it because of a personal reason, but would have if she could.

My Son Sean Goofing Off

I have been taking pictures of my son every once and awhile this month and here are some of those pictures of my son goofing around.

My son is such a ham but we love him none the less.

Strong Wind

On September 13 we had a gust of strong wind that knocked down a branch off of a tree in the Apartment complex next door which happened to take out the power lines. It also happen to damage two trucks that were parked under the tree. We were out of power for three hours while APS fixed everything. I took some picture of the truck and here are those pictures.

The Management of the Apartment finally got the hint and decided to remove the troublesome trees(everytime we had a storm in our area these same trees would take out the power lines). I did not take pictures of them cutting down the trees.

Easter 2009 Silk Dyed Eggs

This Easter I decided to follow an idea that I saw on Martha Stewart Living. I went to Goodwill to buy old silk neckties. I bought them for $1.99 and if you are lucky when you cut the neckties up to wrap the eggs in, you can get 2 or 3 pieces out of the neckties. You can use any silk printed clothing for this.

How to Silk Dye Easter Eggs

1. Cut silk into pieces large enough to wrap around a raw egg.

2. Tightly wrap a raw egg with a piece of silk, making sure the printed side of the material is facing the egg. Secure with a twist tie.

3. Place the silk-wrapped egg in a piece of non-dyed cotton and secure tightly with another twist-tie.

4. Place egg(s) in an enamel or glass pot. Fill the pot with enough water to cover eggs completely. Add three tablespoons of white vinegar to the water.

5. Bring water to a boil, turn heat down, and simmer for 20 minutes or longer.

6. Remove eggs from water with tongs or spoon, place on a cooling rack, and let cool.

7. Remove silk from cooled egg.

8. For shiny eggs, wipe with a paper towel dabbed in vegetable oil.

Depending on the silk neckties you can get great designs on the eggs.

Jamie my wife has decided to do this next year and the next.
