Our Trip up to Prescott and further North

On July 25, 2008 Jamie, Sean and I went up to Prescott, AZ for my sister Karen's birthday. Which we stayed up at Juniper Well Ranch. On Saturday July 26, 2008 Jamie, Sean and I went in to Prescott to look around and we came across a reenactment of a scene that took place in the old west. I took pictures and a video, just before it was rained out.

Here is the video clip that I took.

After recording all this we went and had lunch before heading back the the ranch. That night we celebrated Karen's birthday, She and most of her friends got drunk after dinner. No pictures of any of it because the whole thing is stupid(my opinion). The next day July 27, 2008 we packed up said our good-byes to Karen and everyone and drove to Ash Fork, AZ to visit Cody who is a friend to Jamie's father. Since his house is falling apart we had to eat out the whole time we were up there. The first night we went into Williams, AZ we ate at the Pine Country Restaurant. It had good food, cheap and huge servings. Then we walked around town first we put Sean on a leash and yes we took a picture of it on him. For the person who did not want to walk you could pay to ride in a horse pulled carriage.

On Monday July 28, 2008, Jamie , Sean and I drove to the Grand Canyon Cavern. Yes the drive to it was long and boring for a glimpse of the road the the cavern Check out Robert's Blog. I took some pictures of the cavern in regular and HDR format but I do not have the time right now to work on them to add them all to my blog. I also took a short video clip of the only way out of the cavern if the elevator was to break down.

Here is a picture of Jamie and Sean at the beginning of the tour.

Here is a picture of Jamie and Sean in the middle of the tour. I did not take a picture of us after the tour we were to tired.

During the tour we were told that over the millions of years it took for this cavern to form some animals fell into the cavern through this entrance, a sloth and a bobcat.

In one part of the cavern a section of it is said to connect with the Grand Canyon by a series of small cracks. The story says that years ago the government set off some red smoke bombs in this part of the cavern and it showed up at the Grand Canyon two weeks later.

Here is a picture of the only emergency exit to the cavern.

Here is the video of the exit.

The tour was about 45 minutes long with no chance of drinking water because it was not allowed in the cavern. On Tuesday we went to the Deer Farm which is east of Williams about 10 miles just look for the sign.

On one of our other trips to the farm a grown man walked into the feeding area. The moment he saw the deer head his way he freaked out(he was not a skinny wimp, but muscular) throwing the cup of feed up into the air and then he ran out. My son who is 18 month now could not wait to touch the deer. Yes he is on a leash and is enjoying the farm as if he was not wearing it.

On the way out, the Deer Farm had some animals in cages. I took a picture of the marmoset, the looks it had on it's face was like,"I am sorry for what ever I did and please let me out I promise not to do it again."

Outside of the farm we decided to take a group picture here it is.

We then went back to Ash Fork to pack and head home. We got home around 10:00 that night.
